I used the new firework boost feature to fly upwards, perhaps 200 blocks or so. As I glided down, the chunks under me weren't quite yet loaded yet, so I found myself completely still for a few seconds (as in, not gliding anymore). Then, the chunk I was in loaded, and I happened to be stuck in the leaves of a tree. I destroyed those leaves, and jumped on top of the tree. However, when I did, I was forced to glide, even when I landed (as in, I was never returned to a non-gliding state). I then tried to take off my elytra to fix the problem, but the behavior was the exact same. I did find out that closing the world and reopening it does solve the problem.

Note: In the attached video, I was not wearing an elytra.
