When you travel to any kind of portal or exit the game and reload it, all of your armor is still equipped to the body but does not have the armor bar above hearts anymore and won't protect you until you take the armor off and re-equip it. Please fix as this is extremely annoying, I die every time I enter the nether because I have no armor.
