I came to notice that the TTL for the Login token has been drastically decreased some time ago. This is also the source of all the "invalid session" reports. It seems the time for a valid session is only some hours now, but varies so that it also has occurred that the session was already invalid when the game started.
When playing on a server, especially modded, it is sometimes necessary reconnect because of missing chunks or something like this. When that happens, it becomes necessary to completely restart game and launcher due to short session lifetime. On a bad computer, especially with a modded client, this can take quite some time (up to 10 minutes) and is very annoying.
While i can understand that the session TTL is a security concern, i don't think it would be too insecure to have a session be valid for at least 12 hours. If it really is an important consideration, then maybe make it configurable in the launcher.
I want to stress out that this is by no means a problem with mods, not even with a specific game Version. it just becomes more annoying when the client takes longer to start due to mods.
Of course, this can be countered by setting the Server to offline mode, but that brings a whole range of other problems, and i don't really think that the intention behind the TTL change was to force people in offline mode.
