Item not shown in hand when middle click dragging, it will also not show the number of blocks "left" as it does in 1.10.2

I expected to see the item that is being duplicated (with middle click) where the cursor would be)
The item in previous versions would be visible as you dragged it around.

What instead happened was my cursor would be there instead of the item

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Put an item in your hand
2.Hold down middle/pick block button and drag through inventory, chest or shulker box.
