Nether Portals still don't work right. I have a Nether Portal build in my Overworld base, and when I used it the first time, I went to the Nether at these coordinates: X55 Y82 Z54. Later, I built a Nether base and a temple in the Nether, both of which have Nether Portals in them. The portal in my Nether Base is at X58 Y91 Z48, and the portal in the temple is at X45 Y62 Z72. However, when I go to use my overworld base portal, I always seem to wind up in the temple, which is farther away than the portal in the Nether Base. The portal I came out of the first time was in a small cave, so I disabled it, after building my Nether base and temple. I've built other temples in the overworld in addition the temple in the nether, and at least two of these would, under normal circumstances, be better fit to be on the receiving end of the nether portal in the temple in the nether. However, my overworld base portal, no matter what I try, always seems to link to the temple, as opposed to the nether base. In fact, I actually had to rebuild the nether base portal several time just to get it to like to the overworld base portal, since every time I've used it at the coordinates I originally wanted it at, it would create a new portal in the desert, at least 200 blocks away from my overworld base, instead of linking to the overworld base portal. So now, the nether base portal is currently directly above the original portal from when I first used my portal, and if I move it, well, desert again. It would seem that, even though there is a closer portal, the game seems to always link to another portal farther away, or, at least, a portal that's always farther X/Z distance and lower on the Y-axis than the original as opposed to one that's closer but higher on the Y-axis. In fact, it seems that portal linking is dependent on the Y-axis being lower, regardless of the X/Z axis. Or it might be that there's a wider range for portal linking below the original portal than there is above it, or maybe the game's just simply always choosing a lower Y-axis portal and won't choose a higher one unless there is no lower one, and tries to punish the players for making one that's higher be sending them far way from their base. I know this was supposed to have been fixed a long time ago, but it's been happening to me since at least the 1.9 snapshots, maybe even before that, (it's been awhile since I first noticed). Anyway, give this bug another whack with the flyswatter of bug-fixes and that would be great. Thanks, Rockatoa, Brickticks out!
