When shooting yourself or another player or a named pet with an arrow, sometimes the wrong death message displays.

Steps to Reproduce
Give yourself a named bow, and any other named item.Lower your health so that you would die very easily. Shoot yourself with the named bow, and quickly switch to the other renamed item before the arrow hits you. (For ease of testing, set the gamerule keepInventory to true.) What happens is that the death message displays "(Your Name) was shot by (Your Name) using (The item you switched to)."

Suggested Fix
When an arrow is shot, it should have a tag with the name of the bow that shot it, if applicable. Then when a player is killed by the arrow, the death message displays the item name in the arrow's tag
