      The bug

Wet wolves turn darker (see MC-4618). However, when there is no light nearby (e.g. in caves or the bottom of the ocean) wet wolves become nearly black. This appears to be unintended.

      How to reproduce

      1. Create a superflat world with the preset "Water World"
      2. Go to the ground of the water
      3. Give yourself night vision and water breathing
        /effect give @s night_vision 10000 0 true

        /effect give @s water_breathing 10000 0 true

      4. Spawn a wolf
→ The wolf is nearly black
