I was playing minecraft 1.9.4 when I realized that when an arrow is deflected by a shield your armor still loses durability despite you not having taken any physical damage. I found this quite odd and figured it must be glitch and not intentional because it doesn't seem at all realistic.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Equip new undamaged armor.
2. Equip a shield.
3. Spawn a skeleton.
4. Let the skeleton shoot you while you are blocking with the shield so that the arrow is deflected (make sure you are in survival during this).
5. Check armor to see if any durability has been lost.
