I have been playing on my Minecraft (Hamachi) server for the past week without issue. The server is unmodded although I personally use a texture pack (but the issue occurs with or without it being activated). The server is set at survival mode.
There is a very specific area in the world (not spawn) where if I try to put down a block (cobblestone or dirt for example), the block is placed for a fraction of a second, and then disappears. It reappears in my inventory after a few seconds. I can build almost everywhere else, to my knowledge, without any problem, so it does not seem to be caused by latency. The problem seems to be "attached" to a small amount of "cursed" air blocks. I have tried to make a farm near these blocks and all blocks in this "cursed" zone or near it revert to untilled dirt blocks after a while (about 45 seconds). This zone is more specifically segmented in two 2x1 air blocks and the "untillable" land is about 3x7 blocks large adjacent to the "cursed" air blocks.
I have never seen this in Minecraft and searching the web, found only this video with someone with a similar problem:

I would like to point out there is/was a large population of cows near this zone (breeding was done very near) and that the Minecraft server has reported instances of cows sharing the same UUID, although I do not care for this and believe both issues to be unrelated.
Finally, I seem to be able to put water (source) blocks in any of the cursed blocks, with water flowing normally. The problem seems to be restricted to blocks akin to cobblestone and dirt.
