If you are having your cool elytra on with some armor who has the enchantment Respiration your Elytra is going invisible. I tested it out on a ocean while building a project, and if your invisible wings are blocking the sight of water you can see through, like, it was not there! It works on MC ^1.9.2 and are tested with no items in the main hand or off hand.
