I'm not sure if this is a bug that is occurring on a Minecraft Realms Server only, or if is it affecting single player as well, which is why I've put this issue in Project Minecraft. I will continue to test in a single player world to confirm this issue exists there as well.
The issue I am having pertains to creepers and lightning strikes. I have filled an area with creepers that have been named with name tags to prevent them from despawning on a Vanilla Minecraft Survival Realm. The named creepers occasionally despawn while I am waiting for Thunderstorms and lightning strikes to charge them. Occasionally, I will check the top of the farm which is covered in netherack, with an opening over the creeper filled with a piece of string, and wool, with a boat placed on top, to see if there have been strikes. Sometimes, boats will be gone and the netherack will be on fire. Sometimes the boats will be gone, and sometimes the boats and wool will be gone. This confirms a lightning strike as far as I am aware, but the creeper contained beneath the string, wool, boat combination is still a normal creeper. Sometimes, there will be no creeper, which I guess is due to taking too much damage before converting to a charged creeper. Sometimes, I think that a skeleton trap lighting strike is damaging the boats/wool/string/creepers as well, though there are no skeleton trap horse or riders to be found in the area upon searching. I have included a top and bottom view of my creeper field for your consideration. As you can see, there is rain that is coming through the holes above the creepers signifying that the space above their heads are considered air blocks. Please let me know if this is a known issue, or if one of the components of my creeper field are affecting the lightning strikes.
