Server is on windows 10 (OS is windows)
And I play on the bedrock version of MC (1.16.20)
-
Unconfirmed
I downloaded the dedicated server for windows. I followed the tutorial and proceeded to launch it. once it was launched I tired to Join the server. I put the world name in, then the private Ipv4 ( since I was connected to the same local area network (LAN)). I kept the port at default (19132). then I pressed save and clicked the Join button it loaded for some time then said " Unable to connect to world. Outdated server! " So, I checked my current version of Minecraft and it was the current 1.16.20 (The Piglin Brute update). I also noticed that in Command Prompt (CMD) where the server was running said" version 1.16.10.2 " . I'm not sure if this matters or not but i would like to just put that out there as it may be important. I could not figure out what was the problem was so instead I tried to connect my brother and sister to the server. I put the private Ipv4 address as they were connected to the same LAN network as my computer. they still could not join the server but it was different for them. they had the same error message as I did " Unable to connect to world. Outdated server! " However for me the ping of the server had a red circle instead of stating the milliseconds and my siblings could see the ping of the server which on average was 5-8ms and they could also see the number of players on the server which was 0/20. I tried with other clients outside my LAN and had no luck. I know quite a bit about how computers work and it is really infuriating that i cant solve this bug. Alas I decided to send a bug report to a specialist. I hope this bug gets fixed soon as I am excited to start playing with my friends.
