I cannot play split screen Minecraft of Xbox one. I can access the world using the account that created the world, but when I try to add a second account it doesn’t work. After I type in my pass key to add the second account, my avatar (including the correct armor and items) appears in the world at the correct location but I cannot move him with my controller. Hitting him does not produce knockback although he will get set on fire by a fire aspect sword. He can be pushed by pistons and even pick up blocks but I cannot in any way control him using my controller. The bottom half of the screen, where I would be able to see the second account’s HUD and perspective, is stuck in the Nether update loading screen and the green loading bar that says loading world is full as if the screen is about to go away. The second Xbox account seems to be working for all intents and purposes. I can log into the Xbox with that account and play other games. I can even load into Minecraft with that account but doing that would not allow me to access the world that was created by the first account (to my knowledge). This happened about a month ago which would be around early February 2021. The bug has never fixed itself in any way so it’s not like it worked for a day and then suddenly wasn’t working again. I contacted Xbox support and tried to reset/restart my Xbox but that did not change anything. Additionally, I sometimes will exit Minecraft and then try again when the bug happens but that caused the second account to appear at world spawn with no armor or anything and just a map in his hand. When that happens I can actually control the character like normal but this sort of thing has happened in the past when there is no internet connection which generally has meant that it would be temporary until the connection would return and then my character would be back with his stuff and everything. This time however, whenever this happens and my character is at spawn, if I exit the game or shut off the Xbox and try again, the glitch persists and my character is stuck where he is actually supposed to be with all his stuff but I cannot control him as I have described above. I do not have any idea how to fix this and I just want to be able to play Minecraft with both of the accounts and I am frustrated with trying to figure it out in vain.
